June 28, 1965…Dick Clark's weekday afternoon rock 'n' roll show, "Where the Action Is" premiered on ABC-TV. Jan & Dean, Dee Dee Sharp and Linda Scott performed their hits on the initial broadcast, but newcomers Paul Revere and The Raiders stole the show with their stage antics and Revolutionary War costumes.
