December 4, 1965…At Cape Kennedy, Florida, Gemini 7 was launched with U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Frank Borman and Navy Comdr. James A. Lovell on board. They orbited the Earth 206 times over two weeks and were joined in orbit by the Gemini-6A flight which performed the first rendezvous maneuver of manned spacecraft.
