The Byrds recorded "Mr. Tambourine Man" Posted Wednesday, January 20, 2016 08:20 PM January 20, 1965…At Columbia Studios in Hollywood, the Byrds recorded "Mr. Tambourine Man," produced by Doris Day's son, Terry Melcher. He replaced the rest of the group with session musicians – the Wrecking Crew, including Hal Blaine, Larry Knechtel and Leon Russell – to back Jim "Roger" McGuinn and his 12-string guitar. |
