January 11, 1965…At Gold Star Studios in Hollywood, the Beach Boys recorded "Do You Wanna Dance," which became their highest-charting song featuring Dennis Wilson on lead vocals. The other four Beach Boys sang backup harmony. Brian and Carl Wilson played piano and guitar on the session. Most of the instrumentation was supplied by a dozen studio musicians, many of whom later became known as the Wrecking Crew.
