The Byrds recorded "Mr. Tambourine Man"

January 20, 1965…At Columbia Studios in Hollywood, the Byrds recorded "Mr. Tambourine Man," produced by Doris Day's son, Terry Melcher. He replaced the rest of the group with session musicians – the Wrecking Crew, including Hal Blaine, Larry Knechtel and Leon Russell – to back Jim "Roger" McGuinn and his 12-string guitar.
