For the 4th consecutive year, the USA Today's 10 Best Reader's Choice Awards has placed in the Top 5 in multiple categories in this annual competitive rating.
The St. Louis Science Center 2025 recognitions include:
#1 - Best Planetarium in the country;
#2 - Best Free Museum in the nation; and,
#5 - Best Science Museum in the USA.
Congratulations to outgoing Science Center CEO Todd Bastean and the St. Louis Science Center Staff.
There are over 35,000 museums throughout the country which are eligible for these annual rankings.
The awards are generated by travel and tourism leaders and are then decided through votes from members of the general public.
The St. Louis Science Center is funded through a unique combination of public and private sector funding --- the Metropolitan Zoological Park & Museum District, along with private sector philanthropic support by foundations, companies, and individuals.
This weekend, February 22nd, the Science Center will host over 400 participating partners in the annual SciFest Engineering Expo. It is free and open to the public.
Speaking of national recognition, the St. Louis Science Center also has once again been nominated as one of the nation's "Best Free Museums" in the Newsweek Magazine Readers' Choice Awards.
Deadline for individual voting is next Thursday morning, February 27th.
